He has been practicing in the field of criminal law for over 20 years.  For five years, John served as a prosecutor with the Thirteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Greenville County.  As a prosecutor, he handled thousands of criminal cases, including DUI cases, large-scale drug cases, reckless homicide cases and murder cases.

After leaving the Solicitor’s Office in 2007, John D. Newkirk opened up his own law office, where he now represents people charged with all different types of criminal offenses. Attorney John D. Newkirk represents people with charges pending in Magistrate Court, Municipal Court, and the Court of General Sessions (State Court).
